Allergy protection from probiotics in breast milk varies for each child –

Researchers from Helsinki University Central Hospital, Finland, have found that mothers with allergies have higher levels of antibodies to cow’s milk proteins and lower levels of inflammatory factors in their breast milk. However, taking probiotics for four weeks before delivering their babies saw a reversal in these factors.

Researchers cautioned however that this did not prove a link between probiotics and protection against allergy in children.
