It is strongly advocated and supported by most government health authorities world wide and pro-vaccination advice is offered to parents by the vast majority of GPs. But while there is no doubt that vaccination can have massive, population wide benefits, it can also have serious side effects and lead to a number of 'unintended consequences', especially if the child comes from an atopic background or its health is in other ways compromised. Because the vast majority of our site visitors will already have been presented with conventional, pro-vaccination information we focus here on those 'unintended consequences' which are the concern of the parents of allergic children.
