Radiation from cordless phone base station affects the heart

A new study in the European Journal of Oncology has shown that radiation from digital cordless phone base stations affects the heart. In a double-blind provocation study, Dr Magda Havas and colleagues monitored the hearts of individuals, and found that some experienced irregular heart rates when exposed to the microwave radiation. The sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems displayed typical “flight or fight” stress responses, and feelings of anxiety as well as pain or pressure in the chest were also recorded.

This test directly measures the heart’s response to radiation. The results support symptoms people have had when they are exposed to radiation – feeling similar to the onset of a heart attack. Heart problems are becoming increasingly common in society, and this study documents for the first time that some of those complaints may be due to the radiation coming from cordless phone base stations and also wireless internet devices. If this radiation can affect adults, it may also be affecting children.
