- Association of Light Touch Therapists (ALTT)
Promotes therapies that can be termed light touch - all the gentle techniques which help the body to heal itself - and to speak for the many less well-known therapies that use touch techniques to re-align the subtle energy fields of the body. Affiliated to the British Complementary Medicine Association (BCMA) www.energytherapists.org.uk
- Association of Natural Medicine
Aims to promote interest in the use of natural medicine through education, supporting registered practitioners and supplying a forum for debate. Acts as an umbrella organisation, giving support and education in a broad range of therapies and maintaining a register of practitioners.
- British Complementary Medicine Association
Supports and protects the integrity of its therapists, and ensures the protection and wellbeing of their clients. www.bcma.co.uk
- British Society for Ecological Medicine
Promotes the study and good practice of allergy, environmental and nutritional medicine for the benefit of the public and supports doctors who use the insights of ecological medicine to help patients.
- Complementary Medical Association
Promotes ethical, responsible, professional complementary medicine to the public and the medical profession.
- Institute for Complementary Medicine (ICM)
Provides a register of complementary practitioners who are bound by a code of ethics.
