Eosinophilic Gut Diseases study day. This full study day for families and for health professionals was put together by the Academy for Paediatric Gastroenterology (APG), the gastroenterology department at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and FABED, the support group set up by Amanda Cordell to help other families with children suffering from eosinophilic gastric disorders. 09/12

In 2005 we told the story of two-year-old Samuel who had been diagnosed with the newly recognised eisinophilic gastric disease and who was, effectively, intolerant of all food and many environmental allergens. Samuel's mother, Amanda brings us up to date, along with announcing the first ever conference to be held by FABED, the support group that she founded to help the ever growing numbers of families suffering from eisinophilic disease.

A new, non-invasive blood test is being developed for Eosinophilic esophagitis. Current screening measures involve invasive endoscopies requiring patients to be anesthetized. March 2012
